How many times in a day should a 7mo be BF now he's on solids?

Just wondering how often a 7mo 'should' be breast fed in a day?

Currently my ds is breast fed first thing in the morning, then has breakfast. Then nothing til dinner time, when he has a solid meal and a drink of water. Then is breast fed at around 3pm, has a solid tea at 5:30pm then breastfed just before bed at 7pm. Occasionally he wakes in the night and i will feed him then.

Does this sound like he is BF enough? he is extremely active but is slightly below the 'average' line on the growth/weight chart (nothing to worry about though)

Thanks in advance!

Sounds absoluetly fine to me. At 7 months I was bf my ds first thing in the morning in the afternoon and before bed. I then fed him in the night if he needed it. He was eating three meals a day at this point. Actually sounds exactly the same as your ds. HTH.

thanks tutu!
yes very reassuring thanks!

He has his 7-9 month check in a couple of weeks and i have a sneaky feeling his weight will be discussed so I wanted to make sure he was getting enough milk.

thanks again.
