My son will be 7 months tomorrow but I'm having trouble weaning. I started him at 6 months with a combo of BLW and purees. The trouble is he has quite bad silent reflux and anything but the simplest of food makes him worse. Anything with carrot, many fruits, and I certainly couldn't purée our food for him coz any herbs etc are just too much. He will be so sick for the rest of the day if I give him the wrong thing. For now I just give him 1 meal a day and it's so simple, either avocado or puréed green veg or sweet potato.
I am wondering how I'll ever get him on more meals a day and on "normal" meals. any advice gratefully received.

I should add that he adores anything and is so excited by food. It's just the sickness which is a problem cos he ends up throwing up all the days milk which is where he gets his nutrition.

Mine didn't have problems with reflux and were breastfed..I remember worrying about the elusive 4 meals a day at that age...

They really didn't start fully moving to a mainly food diet until at least a year...

I weaned my second with finger food only and no puree or spoons...they explore more at that age with food and taste rather than actually eating..
