Fussy 8 month old?!

This is a new one for me. I baby-led weaned my twins (who were formula fed) and they pretty much devoured and enjoyed anything I put in front of them. (Not that it’s had much long term effect as one of them is now the world’s fussiest eater, but anyway....).

Baby number 3 (who is breastfed, if that’s relevant) is so suspicious of anything I put in front of him! I’m kind of BLW with him, but also shovelling the odd pouch and weetabix down with a spoon as he sleeps better when he’s had lots of food in the day! But my god, what is this fussiness? I thought babies ate anything! I just gave him salmon and he screwed up his face like I was trying to poison him, spat it out and then threw it all on the floor!

Is this normal? I’m not used to this!

Don’t know but my DD was similar with things I gave to her. If it was on my plate though and she didn’t have any, she would scream for it!

Yes it's normal. Just part of your baby's personality. I was blessed with a fussy one too!
I bought the book My Child Won't Eat which I highly recommend.
To be honest as long as you're still bf on demand there's nothing to worry about really. It's just frustrating for you.

I hope it's normal...

I thought it was just my cooking Grin
