What things have your little ones eaten that have surprised you?

Yesterday DS tried and loved asparagus spears, and also ate a radish from the garden. I fully expected the radish to get spat out

Olives when ds was two. Would have thought they were an acquired taste!

Not quite at weaning (although he has always eaten everything offered (and sometimes not offered)) but by 3 DS was eating asparagus and oysters among many other things...

DD now weaning and her favourites at the moment are spinach and broccoli

We've been doing BLW with 6 month old DS for a couple of weeks and his favourite food is asparagus. He just scoffs it right down.

But boy does his wee smell afterwards

Dd (3) ate calamari & scallops the other day. But she won't eat chips!
