Browsing in the baby isle at Sainsbury's today (15w DD just fell asleep in trolly, so I was going NOWHERE). Picked up a pack of rusks just to read, and saw they were "The perfect weaning food" . 29% sugar...

I love rusks.... chip a hole in the middle and pour hot milk over Mmmmmmm. Pefect after-pub supper.

Won't give em to kids though.

Ah, but I bet they are suitable from 4 months .

i eat them myself. dd1 and ds like them too. dd2 (7m) doesn't have them. i am the main scoffer in this house - lol

I know they are tasty, I just was really suprised that they were allowed to write "the perfect weaning food" on the packet, they are, lets face it, junk food.

Mmmmmmm, rusks. When I was preggers with DS and having a bit of a nightmare time and very, very low in iron my midwife recommended them to me as they are high in iron. I loved them (I still do but don't give them to babymonkey). I have a bit of a craving now actually - anyone got one they can spare?
