How long after protein meal can DD BF? Also SLW instead of BLW?

Does BM affect iron absorption?(seem to remember this info from somewhere)
Also I'm thinking of starting a site for Sibling Led Weaning - when your 3yo helpfully shoves whole pieces of toast/broccoli/chocolate buttons into baby's mouth for her. Think it will catch on?

my mother reckons that my littlest sister was weaned by us. she certainly has no recollection of being involved in the process...

I don't know wads, but I've often wondered if a yoghurt after the main course has the same effect.

I found this

"Traina explains that in human milk there are higher levels of vitamin C and lactose, which aid in the absorption of iron. Lactoferrin is an iron-binding protein that promotes iron absorption and utilization and inhibits the growth of iron-dependent microorganisms in the stomach such as e-coli, which can cause serious gastrointestinal problems in infants."

does that help?

so a BF after protein will actually aid iron absorption - v.interesting. Thanks
