I think this may be a timely thread. DS4 (5 and a half months) has had a very poorly tummy since I gave him some baby rice this afternoon.

And I wish I hadn't.

It was a few runny teaspoons full mixed with breastmilk and he seemed to enjoy it. Tonight, however, I've spent two hours rubbing his tummy as the poor little thing was knackered but was waking up wincing and crying every time he dropped off.

We were away over the Easter weekend and he was showing more than a passing interest in my food. And yes, I realise that he shows an interest in the car but doesn't need the keys yet.

So. There you go. Not sure if this was just a fluke bad evening but two and two etc.

My other boys were weaned at 16 weeks (as was the thinking at the time according to my GP) and I can't remember similar problems but they were all windy babies anyway whereas DS4 isn't.

He's also has green poo since this afternoon.

ach, could be anything. i wouldn't worry about it. as i recall dd got A Lot windier when she started eating. it makes sense, suddenly their tummy is doing things it's never done before. what do you want to do next? we had the odd green poo as well. once it was like pesto!
