Hi, my 19 week old has been on solids for 2 weeks now and all going great. but suddendly up all night screaming. poo is more solid too. he gets veg puree at 11 and then fruit puree at 5 with baby rice and then takes between 6-8oz of milk at 6.30 before bed but now seems to get awful tummy ache suddenly. any tips for what I should do? thanks

Reduce the amount of food or leave it out entirely for another few weeks then start again, sounds like you may be going too fast too soon.

Not criticising btw, we did too and then had to backtrack back to just milk for two weeks and she's now having two teaspoons of rice and the ocassional carrot a day!

a ittle early for food ,possibly, fruit can give LOs a tummy ache, agree with tink, cut back on food, offer more milk and hold off for a while longer on food...

milk will provide more than enough nutrition at this age

DS got quite bad constipation when we first started solids & the only thing that helped was reducing the amount of rice cakes he was having. Seemed to bung him up no end.
