Hi there, just looking for some advice/opinions really.
My little girl has been weaning for about a month now, maybe a little longer. She was a terrible milk feeder, and had never had more than 5oz in one go, and until weaning was still on 8 small bottles a day.
Since weaning she's really settled into it and I feelis doing well. But she isn't having lunch yet because I think if I introduce that I'll struggle to get her to take the 500ml of milk the NHS recommend.
Here's a typical day for her:
7am 150ml formula
9am breakfast. This could be porridge and banana, Philadelphia bread fingers and apples, fruit and yogurt
12.30 200ml formula (she's only started these bigger feeds since food was introduced)
3.30 snack of cheese, fruit or baby crisps etc
5.30 dinner. This could be anything from pasta with cheesy tomato sauce, fish and potato with peas, equivalent in size to an Ella pouch, and for dessert normally some stewed fruit.
6.30-7 150ml formula before bed.
She rarely gives cues for food (occasional the midday bottle) but gets stuck in when it's in from of her. Sometimes she eats til it's gone, sometimes she decides she's had enough and we stop. Quantity definitely varies daily.
So should I be trying to squeeze lunch in? However I definitely think this will affect the midday milk...
