What to give at different meals

DS is 7 months, we started weaning a month ago and it's going well. He's now on a variety of foods (purées and finger foods) which makes me wonder what type of meals should I give when.

Breakfast is usually - oatibix, porridge, fruit, yoghurt with fruit

Lunch and dinner - veg purées with cheese or chickpeas/ lentils type meals (not started meat/fish yet- that's this week)

Do I need to make different types of meals for lunch/dinner? Like we'd have a sandwich then a main meal? Or is it more important for it to be nutritionally balanced?

I'm new to this but getting more confident

At this point, most nutrition still from milk anyway

Is that right even though he's eating quite a bit of food??

I think it's probably more important that it's nutritionally balanced.

Most nutrition is still from milk as April45 says, but he'll be getting a lot from solid food too. My 10mo DS is still taking 20oz (roughly) per day, but he's never finished eating! I feel like I'm just chucking food at him constantly. They're growing so fast at this stage though - I read somewhere that if they kept growing at this speed they'd be adult size by the time they're three Confused
