Stuck in a Rut

DD is just over 7mo and happily eating 3 meals a day. She loves anything we have put in front of her but we have done mostly pouches so far. She has tried the odd bit of 'real' food but I feel like we are a bit stuck for ideas.

I want to start doing some extras with our dinner for her to have the following day but am a bit worried about the choking aspect. She had pasta twirls last night with a tomato sauce and loved it but had to have a bit of a back pat at one point. I'm now back at work full time and don't want to put to much pressure on SIL with having to deal with the choking worry.

Tonight we are having enchiladas and have too much mince. What would be a good way to prep some mince for DD?

Does anyone have any good, fail safe ideas for more BLW foods?

Really, anything will be ok, barring the usual rules about no whole nuts, grapes or similar. Mince would be fine in a sauce with pasta, like a bolognaise. Or Shepherd's pie. Also you could make her enchiladas too, without any chilli/heat. Meatballs maybe?

If she's eating any kind of solid food then choking is a (very small) risk. Be aware of the difference between gagging and choking too, so that gagging doesn't cause you lots of stress/anxiety.

If you are worried about the spice, you can always add natural yoghurt to cool it down. I'm sure she'd love to try enchiladas Smile
