How do you do BLW in 'polite' company

My DD can make our kitchen look an absolute shit pit with the most innocent looking food. I'm sure this has been asked before but how do you cause minimum carnage in someone elses house?

I'm not a proper baby led weaner as did purees for a while BUT now ds eats only finger foods I've bought a huge mat which I fold up and take to people's houses. I got a bit of material from John Lewis which is meant to be for plastic tablecloths but is perfect as a huge splash mat.

i just get them to put an old newspaper under her.

only hand over a small amount of food at a time. if you normally let her loose with beakers of water...don't.

woolworths have got those wipe clean table cloths half price (£5) at the moment - i have bought one to put on the floor under dd wherever we go!!
