DD has been leading her weaning for just about 2 weeks now and we are having much fun

Just wanted to say thanks for the blog, and all the advice and help you have given (even when I was being a weirdo neurotic )
I have even survived the gagging thing with a smile on my face.

Go raibh maith agat (thank you)

I'd like to second that! Was on a post a few weeks ago and had to ask what BLW meant!! Threw away the lovingly made pureed cauliflower and my 6.5 month old is sucking mango for England as I type.

Really really great blog-thingy too - loads of help and reassurance

Didn't participate with the original thread - but I read it and think I'll try BLW with no. 2. Any books available?

no, it's £40 a year to join and we're all very friendly there, no swearing or fighting. and i'll sue your arse off if you say different. it's a lovely pink bubble of rigid BLWers against the world...

of course everyone's welcome. www.babyledweaning.com, see you there. it's a bit of a muddle at the moment, sorry, and make sure you look at the comments as they're the best bits.

Just had to add a thankyou too, its been a great support and great to dip in and out of here and the blog to get ideas and to relaaaaaax (almost) into the whole experience. I really really really couldnt bare the thought of my mad cooking pureeing afternoon events, drove me batty with dd1 3 yrs ago.

DD2 has just eaten a chicken ball with tomato sauce and rice.Granted its been sitting in various states on her tray for half an hour , but she eventually grabbed bits and ate it (I get excited every time this happens, even after 4-5 weeks of it).

The only thing I need to become one with is the negative aspects of mil and HV disagreeing with what Im doing. Oh lordy find me strenght .

melsy - smile sweetly and poke it

So good seeing DD excited about her food (especially the courgette fried in butter today )

lulu - hark at you and your drinking in RL - that was me last Saturday - hung over all day Sunday, but was worth it!

Thanks again guys
