Hi all
Looking for some guidance/reassurance please.
DD is 7 months, she's been on solids for around 8 weeks. She has 3 "meals" a day of Ella's kitchen purees (generally, breakfast is fruit/porridge and lunch and dinner is veg based). She also has milk with her meals and of course in between times. Here is an example day:

06:00 breakfast, banana porridge (50g or thereabouts)and about 140ml milk
09:00 180ml milk
12:00 lunch, e.g, carrot parsnip and apple purée, 120ml milk
15:00 160/180ml milk
17:30 dinner, same or similar as lunch
(18:45 bedtime)
21:00 top up/dream feed of upto 100ml milk

She weighs 14lbs (was prem only 4lbs at birth). Very active girl! Has gone from not even on 0.4th to almost 9th centile. Loves her food.
She has 50-70g of solids a time it varies a bit. I'm having trouble getting her onto some of the 6/7 month pouches as she doesn't like the taste e.g. Chicken stew.

I'd like to increase solids gradually. I'd also like to know how you get baby to like something they don't originally like in practice (I've heard something like they have to try it x times before they'll accept it). Does this all sound ok or am I doing it wrong? Thanks so much! Smile

Have you tried her with finger food or home cooked food?

Generally you should let her eat to her appetite and let her drop milk feeds naturally. Keep offering things she doesn't initially seem to like, and eventually she'll try it, even if it takes a while.

About to try finger food.
Yes she eats what she wants, we go by her cues.
