Solids and acne?

Starting solids seems to have coincided with acne in dd1 just like she had as a newborn- is this a recognised thing? Or is it about spending time with banana, squash etc on her face?! (Seems a bit more widespread than that but I could be wrong).

Hi MsPea did this improve? Are you using babywipes to clean her face? My dd reacted to them on her cheeks- now just use a wet flannel (and dry her so the skin doesn't get chapped)

Babies skin is really sensitive. I have found that certain things are making my dd's skin on her chin and cheeks flare up red and sore.

Flannel is a good idea (hadn't thought of that one myself am going to go buy some now)

But we are avoiding tomato and citrus fruit as they are very acidic on her sensitive skin.

I think somedays it is worse with teething and when she has a cold it seems to also flare up.

If it gets worse than take her to the doctors and they can prescribe something. Especially if they get yellow heads as she may need antibiotics or a steriod cream to clear it up.

Hope that helps x
