Mayonnaise

Does anyone know when it's ok to give a baby mayonnaise (shop bought, not home made). I have a recipe and it says from 9 months. My DS is only 8 months and I know it's only 1 month different but I'm always worrying about giving him stuff too early

depends if you're allergy-prone and avoiding egg - if so than hold out till a year, if not then I can't see why not from 6mo.
Can be quite salty though - maybe thin it with yoghurt or milk. Or just use yoghurt.
