When can I give blueberries

My 8 month DS seems to quite like blueberries, (he's had three so far!) and I obviously want to encourage good habits.
But I seem to remember reading that they shouldn't have berries too soon and one book says not at 6 months, but doesn't say when I can. Any one got any ideas?

ooh I'd never read this. Ds has apple and blueberry every morning for breakfast (won't eat cereal) and has done since he was 6 months. Haven't seen any ill effects

ds is 6 months and loves blueberries and dd had them since before she was 6 months. wouldn't worry, if you cut out every food they suggest your kids would be living on carrots and bananas til one year

I think 6 months is the limit - not sure why. Just watch out for the contents of his nappy becoming an 'interesting colour'!
