We are starting next week, is there anything particularly good to start with, and anything to avoid (particularly choke-wise)

How soon do you roughly start offering a mix of foods, eg toast and topping, or pasta and sauce, as opposed to just some lightly steamed veg or banana?

And what about how often during the day? I know it's when they show an interest, but I'm sure not everyone started offering 3 meals a day?

Babylulu got really good at bringing food back into her mouth for an extra chew if it was a bit 'gaggy!!! we started BLW a little later than 6 months, due to my frustration at her not eating , just put the food in front of her and let her sort herself out...

spag bol with hands is good ! i recommend stripping baby to a nappy and letting them get stuck in

also helps to have 2 dogs to clear up afterwards

didn;t offer cutlery for a while, maybe around 14 months, she is 18 months now, and if she is super hungry, uses her hands then the spoon or fork !

she sounds repulsive doesn;t she !!! poor babylulu, she is really quite sweet !

Oh, and you know those bath seats? Get one, and feed baby in the bath!

No?

Whaddya mean, neglect?!

AitchTwoOh · 17/02/2007 21:56

yeah, i should say that of the 15-20 gagging incidents maybe only a few of them made me think 'is she choking?' For the emetophobes...

colditz · 17/02/2007 22:00

Ds2 hardly ever gagged.

lulumama · 17/02/2007 22:03

quite rarely TBH, did we have gagging, as i said she sort of chewed the cud and never ever choked...
