I have to start dd who up until now was exc bf on formula. Does it matter which brand? Have heard Aptamil is closest to breast milk but maybe that's just marketing gumph...

marketing gumph. just pick one and go with it. if your baby doesn't like it, pick another one.

oh, and if you can, pick one you can bear the smell of

the powder for one of them (can't remember which) smells like fish - made me gag every time.

Cow & Gate is made by the same co as Aptamil and looked the same to me but was £1 cheaper. Smelt ok too, some of them are rank!
