Nursery lunch box ideas for 16 month old

16 month old DD has previously been going to nursery once a week and we have been packing heinz ready made toddler meals for her lunch (easy, convenient, DD loves them and they've been on special offer in our local supermarket for aaaages Grin)

She is about to start going between 3 and 5 days a week (and the meals are no longer on offer) so I'm looking for cheap, easy lunch box ideas.

She eats a good variety of food but has never been that fussed on bread / toast, and I don't want to spend a lot of time preparing her lunches. She is happy feeding herself finger food, and the nursery are happy spoon feeding so anything goes.

Any suggestions?

Why dont you give her what you would normally give for lunch at home?

Leftover such as lasagne, bolognese, chilli etc?
Fruit, cheese, raisins, banana loaf (I make a big one then cut into slices and freeze and then chuck a couple of slices in)

My 16 month old lunches are usually either dinner leftovers or something like a savoury muffin, hummus, babybel, tomatos and cucumber with some fruit for dessert.

Tesco and sainsburys sell mini pots of hummus. More expensive but handy for lunchboxes.

Savoury muffins. Can batch cook and freeze, can pretty much use any veg/seeds.
