Eating after illness

Hi all,

My 10 month old son used to be a great eater, infact I took him to the health visitor as I was worried about how much he was eating! He has been ill for a couple of weeks, started with a fever, tiredness, red tonsils, then a rash which we're still not sure if it was chicken pox or not. Now he has an awful cough and runny nose. Going back to the doctor again today.

He now no longer wants to eat apart from porridge, yogurt, crumpets and weetabix. Thing he usually loves he now just spits out. I'm starting to get a bit worried. How long do you imagine this will last for? He is drinking his milk MOST of the time, taking a bit of water, but often just spits it out.

Thanks.

Just been to the doctors and it's a viral infection rather than chickenpox if that makes any difference. Doctor says a virus can lead to lack of appetite, just hope it's onlay temporary.
