What can I do to help my 11 months old to eat by him self? I didn't start yet and I feel so bad about that. What can I do?

Don't feel bad. Ds is nearly 10 months old and hasn't got a clue how to eat by his self even though I've been giving him a spoon every meal since he was 6 months old. Does your baby eat finger foods by himself?

don't worry about it, until they're one food is just for fun anyway, milk is the main source of nutrition. does he ever eat finger foods or do you spoon feed everything?

Ds2 is 11.5 months, I put all his meals in a bowl on his highchair tray and he just digs right in with his fingers. He's refused spoonfeeding for a couple of months now.

They can eat pretty much anything with fingers anyway - spag bol, chilli con carne, stews - you just have to be prepared for the mess! Perhaps try things like toast fingers, breadsticks, carrot sticks until he's used to the idea. Offer them as well as the rest of the meal, or as a snack, if he's reluctant to give up spoonfeeding.

Good luck !
