Preparing baby rice and purees when on holiday?

My DS will be six months next week and is definitely ready for weaning - early waking, watching us eat, etc. We're going away for a few days next week (in the UK) and want to start him on solids before we go. As I'm new to all this how do you make up and store baby rice and pureed carrots, etc when staying in a B&B? Or do we have to resort to jars?

competitive?

I just used to have spaghetti mozzeralla tomato one in the cupboard for emergencies (ie when I couldn't be arsed making my own!)

nailpolish · 07/02/2007 11:18

the concept isnt competitive but some of the parents are (you have to admit)

i didnt do blw, i did 'cant be arsed occasionally' led-weaning, ie giving them what i was having

Dizzy - yes, to me it seems like another thing that I see on here with people going "oh I didn't puree my baby just ate whatever we had and decided himself what to eat doncha know"

which is just my take on it from reading the 3245 threads on it on here

oliveoil · 07/02/2007 11:20

I am sure they are not competitive, but sometimes on here it seems like everyone is in a race of some kind

but I am in a very very very bad mood today!

Take a box of dry baby cereal, and really, honestly, don't bother with it much until you get home and can do it in earnest.

If they eat things they find on the floor, does that count as BLW?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 07/02/2007 13:09

If it does chipmonkey, then my DS was definitely BLW

OO, its not elitist, competitive, houlier than thou or anything else. Its Just A Different Method Of Parenting.

The fact that its easier, is a very fortunate by product.
