Weaning 7mo hates lumps!!!

Help please! I have a 7 mo nearly 8 who was born at 32 weeks. She's doing really well with her weaning until there is a lump in her food! It doesn't matter how big or small unless her food is totally smooth she cries gags and spits it out!

Is this normal? My eldest now three was never like this but on the plus side I'm getting serious use out of my previously unused blender!

How is she with finger foods?

My reflux baby was like that.

I just did smooth purees, when he was older (1+) also lots of finger foods, pieces of bread and fruit were fine then.

Don't sweat it, take your cue from the baby.

Thanks for the reply She's a bit hit and miss doesn't mind sucking on them however if a bit breaks off into her mouth that's the end of it and most ends on the floor but i think that's her age and there are still no teeth to speak of bless her!

Mine does this too - won't swallow any lumps just spits them out. I'm assuming it will get better with time. I'm Learning it's a very slow
