Purée foods

Hi, just wondering how long your DCs were on purée foods before you introduced finger foods and things like pasta and meat? My DD is 6mo and has been doing purée(ish) for 1 week now and I have 2 weeks of purée made up and frozen (some single tastes and others are combined). I also give her blueberry wafers from kiddylicious which she is good at eating but they kind of dissolve more than they need chewing.
Do you do purée with lumps before moving on to stuff that needs chewing such as toast, cucumber sticks etc

I started with finger food. DS is 7m next week and is yet to try a purée. He eats toast, cucumber, pear, banana...

Honestly it'll be fine. Just keep an eye on him so he doesn't choke.

If you have pureed food to use up, you can always spread it on toast or rice cakes.

We offered finger foods right away with sloppier foods used as spreads and dips.
