Milk and weaning.

Hi all.

My DD is 7months old and has been weaning for 3months now. Recently she has only been taking 2 bottles of 8ounces per day, and only very occasionally does she want a 3rd. Is this normal at this age? And do I need to give her any vitamins to make up for the lack of formula?

Her day food wise looks a bit like this:

6-7am 8oz Bottle
9am Breakfast (Porridge, toast, or yoghurt with fruit)
12-1pm Lunch (meal and fruit or yoghurt)
3pm Bottle (very rarely has it but offer everyday)
5-6pm Dinner (meal and fruit or yoghurt)
8pm 8oz bottle

She doesn't really snack much.
Does this seem okay?

Thanks

As soon as dd was eating solids she really cut down on milk to 1 feed per day (bf so no idea on quantity). Unless you have worries about weight gain, they are normally good at self regulation. Vitamins are recommended for all but again I'd didn't worry as dd has always had a good diet and plenty of sunlight so I didn't feel that she needed them

No worries with weight gain, she does fluctuate a bit but that's because she is so active, and is only still when sleeping! Thanks for the advice

Vitamins are recommended for ff babies once they're having less than 20oz of formula a day. Should continue until they're 5 according to NICE guidelines

Maybe try offering milk before lunch instead of after? 7 months is still early into the weaning journey and milk should be main source of nutrition.

She refuses a bottle in the day regardless of when I offer it, I've found that 3 is the time she will at least take a little bit!
She's gaining weight and the GP has said that its okay as long as I give her a varied diet.
She also has reflux which has flared up recently and the GP thinks that maybe it's the formula that hurts her tummy that's why she refuses it.

They only need 500-600 ml of milk in 24 hours including in food once on 3 meals a day sounds fine
