I'm completely thinking ahead of time but I'm after some advice.

My little one is 3 weeks old and in March, she will be 7 months old, we are going to Florida for 2 weeks.

Can I delay weaning until we get home or do I have to start at 6 months? I will speak to my hv nearer the time but just wanted to ask on here 1st.

TIA

Why would you want to delay? It's not as if she will be on 3 full meals a day by then anyway. At 7 months you would want to be giving finger foods too so you could just guve her something to hold while you eat plus things like yogurts and bananas are good portable foods

6 months is approximate, so baby might only be on one solid meal a day by 7-7.5months. If you're having a meal with carrots you can give some to baby at whatever consistency she can manage. Or take a small tub of veg/ banana etc with you when you go out.
