Immunisations - with a stinking cold?

My 8mth old dd has constantly got a cough (I think from the constant colds she catches at nursery). At one point I was literally at the docs every week trying to find out why she still had this cough. After being perscribed asmtha medication when she does not have asmtha I decided they had run out of ideas. My dd was a lot better over Christmas but has unfortunately now got a stinking cold, she does not however have a temperature. My dd is due her 3rd set of the hip vaccine and her 2nd pneumonoccocal. I do not want to make her feel worse as she barely slept last night at all. Shall I still have her immunisations or wait till next week when hopefully better? I am tending to think I should leave it till next week but she hasn't had them yet because she had the cough which at one point was a chest infection so they kept putting it off.

If you are going to vaccinate, do not do it while her system is under strain. God, I wish the NHS would change to homoeopathy!! I hope your dd feels better soon.

Sounds like pretty good advise, I think we will give it a miss. Are you anti- vaccinating then?

My dd had a cold when she had those two vaccinations, but she's 16 months, so a bit older. I asked the doctor first, and she said it would be fine as she didn't have a temperature and her lungs are clear. She's been fine, a bit more sleepy then usual and some nasty nappies, but apart from that, she's fine, and I'm glad the vaccines are out of the way.

dont go, anyone of any age should not receive vaccine when their body is already fighting infection (I was told not to go for flu jab when had a sore throat)

Just wait, another week wont hurt.

BTW I am pro-vaccination

Yes, I am definitely anti-vaccines.
