10 month old hysterical at dinner

Why has my DD started getting hysterical at dinner time the past 2 weeks? As soon as she looks at what she's got & i go to feed her she will not open her mouth. She wont even try it & she then starts screaming hysterically. Its baffling! The only meal she will eat is jacket pot, cottage pie & salmon pasta at the minute. Its really bothering me, does anyone have any idea why she might be doing this?

Will she feed herself? Is she teething? Is she over tired by this point of the day?
Sometimes this is a sign they want to take over eating themselves!
I wouldn't worry if just one meal time. My DD is a great eater but dinner times go to pot when she is teething and tired!

Thanks Nan0 i do put it on her tray so she can feed herself but she still isnt interested, i'm always there with a spoon to help her a long a bit sometimes though. I cant work out whether she is teething she doesnt seem to out of sorts but she is tugging at her ears alot lately. Hmmm...she isnt tired every night maybe the odd night she is.

How strange. They do these things to confuse us I think! Is she having a lot of milk in the afternoon so just not hungry or eating a lot at lunchtime?
With toddlers the thing to remember is that it's what they eat over the course of a week that matters rather than each meal. It's hard when they randomly change behaviour though...

Shes never been a massive eater anyway, shes a petite little thing. She doesnt tend to eat a lot at lunchtime & some afternoons she doesnt seem to fussed on her milk so it ends up getting poured away. As you say i think they just like to confuse us. Hopefully its just a phase she is going through!
