Hi everyone, my second son is nearly 8 months old. And since 6 months I've been trying to give him purée food and cereals. He does like cerelac but he's never seems interested in food in general. He will eat fruit purée but I can't tempt him with any meal food if that makes sense :(. I don't know what to try. Any ideas would be great. X

At 8 months he might be happier just having bits of whole food on his tray to play with. Many babies, my own ds1 included, don't really click with food til between 9 and 10 months and that's fine. Remember that milk is the main source of nutrition for them for some time so any food that actually goes in can be considered a bonus really.

Take the pressure off, give him food to play with - chip shaped so he can pick it up and don't give honey and just let him play.
