My Ds has reached the 6 month mark so it's time! So far this morning he's made an almighty mess with a banana and seemed to really enjoy himself. No actual eating though bar licking some fingers.

Anyone else up for keeping me company/swapping tips and progress?

Yay! I loved BLW. With my eldest I went puree crazy and obsessed about little ice cube trays. Opting for self-feeding/blw/finger food for babies two and three was a much more enjoyable experience for all of us and the little ones ate what we ate or a variant of. I also found a lot less mess could be made with a whole broccoli floret than could be made with a pureed version of the same! I hope you enjoy the ride Smile

Hi saw this and would love to join in! We're also trying blw. Slightly complicated in our case as dd came out with bad eczema which has got a lot better after I cut out dairy (as I breastfeed) so trying to get in the mindset of us both cutting out dairy for a bit!
Also I gave her a bit of my scrambled egg on toast last week and the poor thing got sick and vomited it up so the doctor said to leave out egg and wheat for a few weeks.
I think I've lost confidence a bit and have only been tentatively offering fruit and veg for the last few days. Have also realised I don't buy or eat enough of that so this is good for us both! I've polished off most of a melon and a load of carrot sticks after she lost interest!!
Anyone else come up against some food intolerances? Thanks for the meal and snack ideas on this thread!!

Hello can I join in please? DD is 5.5 months so we're starting in a couple of weeks. The last two days I've popped a few random pieces of food on her high chair tray whilst she watches me cook but she didn't really seem to notice them ! I guess it might be different when she doesn't have toys in front of her too!! :)
