weaning and waking

My seven month old has started waking during the night again . I've wondered about changing his milk. He's on Cow and Gate Premium for (stage 1). Does anyone know the benefits of the one with added iron , now that he is being weaned?

I am struggling to get enough milk into him during the day, now that he's on three meals but he is eating his solids well and he's putting on wait like you wouldn't believe.

His routine is:
8ish breakfast and milk (often takes less than 180ml... but has usually downed 180ml at 3/4am)
12ish lunch with protein and pudding
3ish milk (will sometimes take 180ml but never more)
5.30 tea with protein and pudding
7ish milk and bed (about 240ml)

We stopped doing the dream feed months ago as he seemed to wake once with or without it. I'm reluctant to reintroduce because it seems like a backward step. Any ideas?

hi - can you try to reduce the night feed by an ounce or so every other night and increase his day time bottles to try to get him to take more milk in the day. It sounds like he is only having 3 milk feeds per day and at 7 months milk should still be the main food as far as i know, or they should be taking around 20 ounces per day on average. My DS is 7 months and still has 4 milk feeds, altho' he is slowly dropping his lunch time one ... he feeds as follows:
wake up - 7 oz plus porridge
10.30 am 3 -4 oz milk plus solids (veggies and pudding)
2.30 pm 6 oz plus lunch at 3.00 pm (same as lunch)
Split feed of around 8 - 9 oz of milk before bed

Thanks, we've decided to try the dream feed again but will gradually reduce it once sleep is established again. It worked lst night...

I guess it's one way to get noticed... must remember to put 'wank' in the title next time I need help!
