Are the guidelines to wean at 6 months for just breast fed babies or for formula fed too?

Believe each is supposed to be adequate nutritionally on its own until 6 months.

Thanks. dd is only 17 weeks so I guess she's just going through a growth spurt and I should stick to the formula?
