How Do You Stew An Apple, And Can You Stew A Pear?

Chop it up into a saucepan, add just a tiny bit of water, cook it in the pan until it goes mushy.

And yes, you can stew a pear - just the same way.

I just give DS (8 months) the pear slices to eat. There quite mushy anyway when ripe.

Or you can bung it in the microwave intact until soft, then remove peel and core when cool and squish with a fork- that's all I ever did for mine (did spuds the same way LOL) and it is supposed to retain more vitamins

Just doing alternative breakfasts... one I read about was porridge and stewed apple. He's very good at eating mush with his hands
