Wanting more milk?

My daughter is 7 months and I've been weaning her for just over a month now. She's interested but doesn't eat loads at a sitting.

What's confusing me is that she cries for a breastfeed very shortly after eating solids even when it's not a usual time. For instance this morning we did a BF at 8:45 and then some Weetabix at 9:45 which finished at 10. By 10:30 she was hysterically crying for more milk. Why would this be as she wouldn't normally be so hungry as to be crying in two hours let alone after eating solids too.

Any ideas?

Do you give her a drink with the food ? Maybe she is thirsty rather than hungry

Yes I do give her water in a sippy cup - maybe she's not having enough though. She pours most of it over herself!
