BLW and distractable babies

sorry to be such a pain all you BLW experts out there, but here is another question....

my lo is rather nosy and we went through a phase when he would not bf well during the day and then wanted bf all night - exhausting. i decided to feed him up in the day and the nights are better. my question is because i am bf him as often as possble during the day rather than 'on demand' how will this work with BLW as my understanding is that as they get more nutrients and calories through food they will 'demand' bf less often.

i think it's just a case of keep offering the food and keep offering the milk. he'll find his balance. milk should still be his main food til he's one anyway, then you can look more at upping the amounts of foods.
