do i still need to boil water for ds to drink

he is 6andhalf months, do i still need to boil water or can he have water straight from the tap

i give it straight from the tap. have done since dd was 6 months.

i gave ds boiled water til he was 1, if you still steralise that is

i don't sterilise either. just put stuff in dishwasher.

My dh wants to know why it needs to be bolied. I assumed it was something to do with killing germs???

I still boil the water for drinking and formula but read yesterday in my birth to five book from the HV that the drinking water doesn't need to be boiled after 6 months.

i gave it from the tap since 6 months. and stopped sterilising too then. dishwash it all.
