Hi
I read in one of Annabel Karmels book that I should give my dd 'floury' potatoes, does anyone know why? Can I give her 'normal' potatoes! She is 19weeks and I'm in the 2nd week of weaning her now.
Thanks

llynnnn, why are you weaning her so early ?

The advice now is not to start on solids until 6 months.

Weaning is an awful faff and she will, honestly, be okay on milk until 6 months.

They just mean floury varieties, they are easier to digest than the waxy ones I guess

eg Maris Pipers, King Edward, Desiree

Thanks Dingdongdracula
I started weaning her as she wasnt settled anymore on just milk. she has slept through from 10weeks and then from 16 weeks she started waking up once then twice in the night for a bottle, and even in the day between feeds she was grouchy! she is quite a 'big' baby too, she weighs 18lbs now. i have only been giving her babyrice so far but she loves it and opens her mouth and kicks her legs as soon as she sghes the spoon coming towards her.
