Odd reaction to bread

Wonder is anyone has experienced anything similar.

My youngest son is almost 9 months. Whenever I give him a sandwich he has an awful night. He won't sleep on his own, wants to be held to sleep. The odd thing his nappies don't change, no diarrhea, no wind, no constipation.

He has weetabix for breakfast so I wouldn't imagine it's a wheat reaction. I'm at a loss. It's definitely bread, the sleep problems started the first day I gave him bread, then stopped when I stopped giving it to him. I waited about 2 weeks and tried again, same thing happened.

any ideas?

Have you got a link to the ingredients?

I have a friend who's intolerant to raising agents. She tells people she's gluten intolerant as its quicker to say and most stuff with raising agents has gluten in. But she can have weetabix, unleavened bread etc. (Also means it's harder to cater for her as can't just replace with different flours). She didn't develop it until much older but maybe it's possible in a baby?

Yes I was going to say raising agents. My fella can't tolerate them but can have other wheat containing things.
