Which high chair?

We have a second hand high chair at the moment but it's not very good.

Our DS is very tall and slim and he slips back and can't reach the tray. It's not adjustable either and hard to clean.

Can anyone recommend a padded, adjustable easy to clean high chair please?

Can't recommend but can give you one to avoid. We had a Graco and I hated it. Big thing that was a nightmare to clean. DS couldn't reach the tray properly and DD could get out of the steps quicker than you could blink.

Wish we'd had a Stokke.

IKEA antilop . Costs 13 quid . I had an all singing all dancing one and in the end just got rid and got an ikea one instead - everything can just go in the dish washer !

The antilop isn't padded but you can get an inflatable cushion to go with it which will help keep baby wedged in, and the cushion cover is machine washable and quick to dry. It doesn't have padding under baby's bottom though.

I second the IKEA one. Think you can get a cushion to insert for smaller babies.

We also had a Chico one that reclined and had wheels and was all singing all dancing. Waste of money.

I had an ikea antilop one with inflatable cushion at grandparents and it was perfect for skinny DS, we had a stokke Tripp Trapp at home pulled up to the table and it was also fab but very different - we still use it as a chair which 7yo DS will be annoyed is going to be reclaimed as a highchair when this bump turns into a baby

We had the Tripp Trapp for ds1 and were so pleased with it, we got one for ds2 eight years later. Ds1 still sits on his ( as a regular chair).
My parents and ILS had the IKEA antilop for when we visited then and i hated it with a passion: really uncomfortable, only 1 size, and worst of all those stupid legs, I tripped over them every single time I went past. Ended up binning it as I was worried I'd send ds flying!

Ikea. Hose it down in the shower when you have to .

Ah, I've used the antilop in cafes and hated it!

IKEA antilop, I use an old rolled up towel behind child to help sit then forward a bit - adjustable as you use a small one when they get bigger!!

I used it in cafes and hated it too -then I bought an all singing all dancing one and hated it even more ! At least with the antilop your only loosing 13 quid if you don't get on with it - not over 100 as some others can be!

I like this one. The highchairs with just a central vertical strap allowed DD to rotate & fully stand.

Three of my friends ditched theirs for an IKEA one in the end too

We have just set up our Brother Max Scoop. DS is tiny as he was prem but he still manages to sit in it with the insert. It is very easy to keep clean and looks good too.

Stokke Tripp trap. Lasts newborn- adulthood. Can have with padding or without. With tray or without. Fully adjustable as they grow. Mine still use them daily and are school age

All padded chairs are hard to clean.

Unless you have the money for a trip trap for every child, the antilop is the best thing out there.

I also hate the antilop. I think it's really bad for their posture as no support for back or legs in any way. We tried to use once and ds1 almost hung himself by sliding down so far

Tripp trapp from eBay and ikea in our house, I love them both. My 15 month old uses the ikea one and the 4 yr old is in the Tripp trapp. No complaints about either

Well, it's not padded, but we have the Chicco Pocket Snack and love it! It's an adjustable booster seat rather than a traditional highchair - it just straps on to a dining room chair, so DS can sit right at the table with us, and there are no sticky-out legs for me to trip over. The tray is adjustable too. Very quick and easy to wipe down, even after pureed pear (DS and I both needed a bath after that little culinary adventure).

I think it was about £22 or so from Amazon.

We had a trip trap which was easy to clean but my daughter tipped it backwards by putting her feet on the table and pushing back. After that we had to sit with one foot on the base.
