weetabix, Readybrek, my ds used to like shreddies with wam milk on then left for a few minutes until soggy, fruit and yoghurt, normal porridge.

He's only 5 and a half months so I thought he couldn't have dairy or gluten yet. He's also been quite constipated over the last couple of days so I'm trying to give the baby porridge a break to see if that will help.. Any other suggestions??

Your right your not meant to be giving gluten or wheat before 6 months. But after you can give weetabix, ready brek, toast and cheese spread etc.

How about banana and avocado, apple and pear pureed/mashed until then just to tide you over for a couple more weeks.

That's what I thought.. Will avacado aggrevate the constipation as it's high in iron??

My twins never got on with organix banana porridge - until I mixed it with stewed fruit. Now they love it!

I've found adding stewed fruit (apple, pear, etc) to breakfast cereal is great for constipation. If mine have it for breakfast I can guarantee a poo before their morning sleep!

That's great advise - Thanks

Ds has either pear or apple and blueberry with a bit of baby rice mixed in to thicken it.
