Good to puree, or a recipe for wind?

try and see... it's the only way to know
(they make fab soup for you if dd doesn't take to them )

Monkeytrousers · 04/12/2006 12:48

I gave DS lentils. No wind problems here.

alibobble · 04/12/2006 13:35

can only find out the hard way I'm afraid. Peas give dd terrible wind and pain but there we are. Nothing elseso far has been a problem. I hate the suck it and see method but every baby is different.

deaconblue · 04/12/2006 13:51

Ds loves split red lentils mushed up with tonnes of veg and it doesn't seem to make him worse than his usual farty self. Annabel Karmel reckons they are hard to digest unless put with plenty of veg.

DetentionGrrrl · 04/12/2006 13:55

hmm. perhaps i'll bite the bullet and mash some with veg for lunch tomorrow. at least it'll give him a chance to get it out before bed!

Mine love lentils - I fry up an onion then add the lentils and some stock to give a bit more flavour. No wind problems here!

alibobble · 06/12/2006 08:52

well i'll find out! fed dd ham lentil and brocolli soup yesrday without thinking and so far no ill effects

moondog · 06/12/2006 08:53

My kids absolutely love both and have done since tiny.

alibobble · 06/12/2006 13:31

well i think we have our answer... dd has been winging all way through afteroon sleep and fitfully waking like she used to whenever I ate baked beans when I was BF! Maybe lay off them for a while. Never mind!
