Advice on drinks and milk 6.5 month old

DS is eating really well, he is BF and I'm spoon feeding some things as well and he really enjoys this too. I'm just wondering about using milk in things, do I need to use baby milk in porridge etc or can I use full fat cows? Probably a dumb question but I just can't remember what to do. When do I start to offer drinks and what drinks would it be?

Full fat cows milk is fine in cooking and on cereal from 6 months. It just shouldn't be given as a main drink.

I would start putting a cup of water on her tray at meals. But don't worry if she doesn't drink much or any of it at this stage. It's more about getting her used to the idea as she'll be getting plenty of fluid from her breastfeeds still. As weaning progresses over the next few months, she'll start to cut back on milk so water will become more important for her. So getting used to a cup now starts to prepare for this.
