Yep, it's me again

I started a thread a couple of weeks back saying ds was having around 6 bottles a day and dietitian said I need to reduce it.

He will be 9 months Monday and his milk intake has gone up. I have tried everything, I tried offering him water instead of milk, baby juice, snacks, bigger meals, watering down his milk. Nothing works. He's now on about 7 sometimes 8 bottles a day. If I make him smaller bottles he just gets hungry sooner and is inconsolable until he has milk

Am feeling very crap about it all.

Don't know what I expect mn to say but it's good to put it down

Thanks dairy, it seems like he completely changed over night, he's now having 3-4 bottles a day sometimes 5 but it's an improvement!

Can you water down the milk, so he gets the same comfort but less fillng?

Just a note ... my dd suddenly dropped a milk feed and upped food this week. She's not weaning "smoothly" but look at it over a long time and she's definitely weaning.
Could be just around the corner for you!

Just an update.

Like you said squizita, all of sudden he has gone down to 4 milk feeds (today is looking like 3!) and started eating more we are still having some bad days where he will up his milk again and eat less but he is improving. And he also slept through the night for the first time the night before last! And again last night.
