Oh yes - DS loved his parsnips cos they're sweet. He now loves "proper" parsnips with his dinner

clairemow · 16/11/2006 13:08

yes. DS still adores parsnips at 2.6. You can also mash them in with mashed potato, lovely mix.

twickersmum · 16/11/2006 13:13

yes - peel, quarter and take out the hard bit in the middle first (sorry if stating the obvious...)

roast parsnip is now a favourite with both of mine. dd1 (2.9) hasn't worked out they are a vegetable

GreenLumpyTonsilsAgain · 16/11/2006 13:15

Parsnips are a wonderful weaning food. I used to cut them into sticks and then boil to soften them and let him suck them.

i LOVE them roasted, but only ever had them like that,

Mine loves them pureed with a bit of potato and a drop of b/milk. Stinky burps though
