dont think there is. Have you started yet?

SneakyMouse · 15/11/2006 20:42

There isn't one. There is, however, Aitch's blog.

But really, just give your baby food and let 'em eat it. Tis a piece of pee.

there's no book because it's relatively new in terms of it being formally talked about iyswim. people always did it but never made a thing of it.

aitch's blog links you to the study which sort of brought it all together and formalised it as a weaning method. i think it's by gill rapley. that's if you want the reasons for doing it. other than that it's just wait til they're 6 months and they start eating your food.

blw yahoo group was better than any book I read at the time ds started solids ...plus its free

However since then I have read "My Child Wont Eat" by Carlos Gonzales & it brill - title is a little misleading as its has lots about babies & their eating habits in general. I saw Dr Gonzalez (a Spanish paed) speak at the LLL workshop last month & have even more respect for his work - cant recommend the book enough. LLL publish it (which for the work they do I would personally order it through, to help them, as they are a charity) but I think you can get it from Amazon as well.
