just trying the boy on BLW on a lunchtime now as well as his snacks, is this the equivalent?

(used to have 1 jar or equivelent of food,, mixed veg or such) the 7 mth sized ones and either a yoghurt or fruit puree.

today thou we're going with dairylea thinly scaped on a slice of brown bread (open sandwich type thing) in soldiers whic we're currently munching and a banana.

(has water with both) is today's one enough do u think should I offer something else to go with it?

hard to say, i suppose the purees are more watery so they might appear to be more? i'd just keep offering until he doesn't want any more, probably.

thanks at, he's had all of the bread, I did think that if I did 2 slices of bread as a proper sarnie it would be far too mcuh and hard for him to manage, he';s already had 2 little rice cakes and a bowl of ready brek today! so quite a bit althou he is a hungry little one.

i think the purees/jars are more watery. my DTs, 10 months old, used to scoff a good soup bowl's worth between them. today for lunch they had home made chicken korma (little chunks of chicken with rice, not pureed or squahed) and ate much much less by volume than they used to a few weeks ago. this seems to be a pattern. i think real food is much more filling. also, its harder work to eat!

that's what I thought polly - it seems harder fro him to poop as well - is that just cos it feels differnt in his tummy?

probably. they do have to adjust. i didn't really notice it with the DTs though because they got colds which gave them runny bottoms at about the same time as i put them onto more grown up food. at least i think it was colds, not my cooking.....!!
