hi everyone.
so my dd is almost 6 mths and i'm getting eady to wean her but am confused about milk feeds .
what did you all do?
am i supposed to feed her as normal and give food at lunchtimes or food first milk after?
am i supposed to be dropping any feeds or not.??

any advice appreciated as i can't work it out.
if i feed her at lunch (breastmilk) and she fills up how will she ever want solids?

At six months, food is really more about play than filling her up, particularly if you're doing baby-led weaning (which is great).

You just want her to get some tastes, and try it out.

You don't want to drop any feeds at this point. You just want to offer her bits of food and see how she gets on. I think it's best to try midway between feeds, or even in the middle of a feed. If she gets annoyed, you may end up wanting to feed her anyway, to cheer her up, if she finds it all overwhelming.
