I'm pretty sure (from mn, babycentre and nhs online) it's caused by starting solids and - recently - eating more protein and carbs compared to the veg/fruit I gave at 6 months. DD is 7 1/2 months and a "picker" with solids, still not cut any bfs yet. Recently started eating more as opposed to throwing! But still small meals. Size of her fist portions only.
Poos aren't too hard or too runny - just big and up to 4 days apart! By the end she's windy and grumpy.
I think it's because she's developed a taste for protein, dairy and carbs. I'm remedying this by giving veg/fruit at the start or making it most of one meal/snack.
Obviously don't want anything too harsh, but would like her a bit more regular.
Tried extra soft/stone fruits, drinks of water and watered down juice, tummy massage and cycle legs.
Any other home remedies? Are baby probiotics good?
She's bf for milk plus water for drinks, and milk feeds every 3 hr.
Ta!
