Im really worried about my daughter, she will be 6mths next week and I have just started to feed her solids but she refuses to drink water or juice between feeds, she gets exactly the same number of bottles, will she dehydrate ? I am also concerned as making up my own purees is not working out, they are very slimy and not eatable. Please tell me this gets easier !!! (sad)

Hi there,I wouldn't worry about her dehydrating. As long as she is alert and active.Foods also contain a liquid component eg yoghurts/fromage frais pureed veg/fruit that will somewhat quench thirst.Re purees,Im just did fruit and veg initially and froze them in ice cube trays.A really easy weaning food is mashed banana, both dcs loved this, however it does stain clothes terribly so I'd advise large bibs!!!
